Internet — I Don’t Know
2026-02-18
Today I read a comment online that said human life is about reminding each other to keep balance. It sounded confusing — people are just living their lives.
I wanted to write C code today and opened my cognitive behavioral therapy assistant project. The AI had already written about 90% of it.
Then I ran out of tokens for the AI, and I had to think through how the code works by myself. I tried to understand what a particular enum type was responsible for, and I still don’t fully get it.
I realize I’ve become dependent on neural networks to write code. It’s fine to have the AI generate my site from Markdown, but it feels bad when I work on a personal project that matters to me.
Autocompletion can be annoying — it suggests things I’m not trying to write. Sometimes I just want a blank page to create my own ideas.
I’ll ask the AI to produce the HTML for this news item and add it to the index, but doing that doesn’t bring me joy.
